History and Genealogy!

Hello, and welcome to the new Johnson County, Illinois Trails History and Genealogy website.  We are the original and official website for Illinois Trails.

My name is Penny and I am your host for the Original and Official Johnson County Illinois Trails History and Genealogy website.

While I do not live in the State of Illinois, my husband and I travel quite a bit and I frequently stop at courthouses and cemeteries.  He thinks I'm crazy, but he indulges me, I mean after all, it's family research!  I have always been a fan of Illinois Trails History and Genealogy.  Sue Reed, your host for Madison and St. Clair Counties, and I knew each other almost from the day we were born.  In fact, she is the one who encouraged me to begin my family research.  My goal is to bring oodles of new data to these pages.

Please excuse our dust. We are currently remodeling and rebuilding to bring you more online data!

*Just a note to let you know I've returned from a trip to Vienna.  What nice folks!  I'll be transcribing some new material and will have it online as soon as possible. :)
