MY GRANDMA

There are no words that I know that describe my love for my Grandpa and Grandma Lynch. But I will try to, in memories of them. Grandma taught me what love is. She was quiet but loving, never turning away family and friends. I never saw her sit down, always quietly doing something. She made me popcorn in an old fashion wire popper, fudge when I asked and always great food. Her fried potatoes, cole slaw w/hot bacon drippings still make my mouth water. One time after I married, I begged her to teach me how to cook,ha, a pinch of this and a pinch of that, I never did learn to cook like her...But she said always put apples in your Thanksgiving stuffing..She also put in oysters because my Grandpa like them. I remember when she hugged me how good it felt to be in her arms. She loved her children when they were good or acting up,she never deserted them and was always there to help. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. I am thankful my children got to know her. When she had her surgery I stayed with her all night and she laid her hand on my head and told me how much I had meant to her and grandpa. I think she knew that her time was limited and said "wait until December before you buy a dining room set" she died in December and left me her dining room set. Before she left the hospital she told me when I go home I want it to be a bright sunny November day and spitting snow. The day she came home from the hospital was just such a day. Her favorite hymn was "The Old Rugged Cross" and she did truly love her Jesus Christ, her church and church friends and lived her life such. I know she peacefully met her God..I miss her so!
